Zavion Ferguson

Zavion Daron Tramine Ferguson, age 21, passed Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in Athens, TN. He professed his faith in Christ and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Niota, TN., and Ramp church in Cleveland, TN. He was a 2018 graduate of Bradley Central High in Cleveland, TN. He played football while in high school, and really enjoyed music, perfecting his craft of the spoken word with on the spot Rhythmic American Poetry( RAP). He was employed at Hydro Pool in Athens, TN.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Loretta Ferguson, Don Ferguson, Frank and Elizabeth Cates., uncles, Jerry Lynn Ferguson, Derrick Ferguson, Frank Cates Jr.,

Survivors include his mother Cynthia Ferguson and Michael Cates both of Athens, TN., sister, Lyric Mishae Ferguson- Major( Tom), two brothers, Christopher Michael Cates, and Ansley Carmichael Felix. Aunts and uncles, Donna Faye Ferguson, Don( Tawana) Ferguson, Michelle( Calvin) Ferguson, Jeffrey Ferguson, and Corey Ferguson. Nieces, and nephews, Naquan Cates, Malachi Cates, McKenzie Cates, Loudon Cates, and soon to be nephew Babyboy( LyricFerguson -Major).

Great aunts, and great uncles, Zella Mae Smith, Joann Fike, Mary Ruth Brownlee, Cordilia Cates, Frances( Douglas) Carter, Judith Cates, Susan( David ) Copeland, Lewis McCowan, James( Pam) McCowan, and Thomas Cates. God mother, Varhonda Arnwine, best friend Colby Prigmore, and special friend Shayla Dunsford, many, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Saunders officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery in Niota, Tn.

In compliance with COVID-19, social distancing will be observed and face mask are required. There will be a walk- through visitation also on Tuesday M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m
