Zadok D. Westfield

Zadok David Westfield, Jr., age 83 on December 18, 2021 finished his earthly journey. His life began on October 23, 1938 to the union of the late Zadok David Westfield, Sr. and Lula Mae (Anderson) Westfield. His education began in Polk County at King Elementary School and he complete high school at College Hill in 1958. After graduating, Zeke honorably served his country in the US Army with the Ft. Hood, Texas Division 7 Steps to Hell. He also served in Germany. He returned home and attended Cleveland State Community College for two years. Zeke was employed at Bowater Paper Corporation for 40 years and retired as a Millwright worker.. After his retirement Zeke enjoyed the Annual Florida Fishing Trips and the front yard family gatherings. He also enjoyed being the family Santa Claus for three generations. He was a member of the Wildwood Avenue Church of God of Prophecy where he served willingly and wherever needed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gideon and Lessie Anderson, Edward and Sally Westfield, parents, Zadok, Sr. and Lula Mae (Anderson) Westfield, siblings, James Paul (Dorothy) Westfield, Edward β€œNed” (Barbara) Westfield, Sally Goode, Thelma (Vernon) Shaw and brother-in-law, Hackett Sanders.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sue (Lattimore) Westfield, children, Perry Bowerman, Zadok David, III (Dee), Zackerus (Jodi), Zatonda (Joe) Kirkpatrick, and Zamus Forbes. SIblings, JoAnn Sanders, Anderson (Jackie), Nathan (Brenda), Luther (Alfreada), Tony, and Loyd (Laura) Westfield. Special Aunts Evelyn King, Hazel Ramsey, Willie Jean Johnson, Mattie Jean Roberts, and Uncle Manuel Anderson. He leaves to cherish his memory eleven grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Remembrance of Life will be held on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home -Cleveland, TN. In compliance with COVID-19 mask are required and there will be a walk through visitation from 2:00p.m. – 3:00 pm., with a memorial service to follow immediately with pastor Rev. Winston Reid officiating. Interment will be a at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 12:30 p.m.
