William Travis Sanders

William Travis Sanders passed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Etowah, TN. “Tee” as he was called by family and friends attended Austin Peay State University where he was a scholarship student-athlete and starter for The Governors football team. He graduated from Chattanooga Central High School class of 1993 where he was an All-State Running Back. Above all Tee would want to be remembered as a devoted Father to his family!

He was preceded in death by his father William Perry Sanders and brother, Jon Travis Sanders.

He is survived by his wife Whitney Sanders , and children Terrlynn (Mangus) Kirby of Chattanooga, Amani Sanders of Athens, TN, Deion, Kazz, KaMarley Sanders of Athens, TN, and Travis Thomas of Chattanooga, TN. Mother, Vivian (Randy) Anderson of Birchwood, TN. Brothers Darren (Amanda) Sanders of Augusta, GA, Dre Sanders of Nashville, TN, and Henry Woods of Etowah, TN.  Mother-in-law, Cassandra Miller of Chattanooga, TN., Father-in-law, John (Rhonda) Moss, of Etowah, TN.  Brother-in-law Patrick Miller of Athens, TN and Dillon (Summer) Williams both of Athens. Sister in-law Mariah Cole of Chattanooga and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at M. D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home Athens, TN with service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Benjamin Jackson delivering the eulogy, and Rev. Kevin Harris officiating. Interment will follow the service in Green Hill Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
