Wanda Robinson

Wanda Kay Robinson age 66 passed Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at her home in Etowah, TN. She attended Star Bethel Baptist Church in Etowah, TN, where she sang in the choir and worked many years as a cook at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Edith Mae Deed, and father Kenneth Boyd, also by brothers John Charles Harper, and Clark Nolan, sisters, Sharon Kay Scudder, Jessie Carolyn Mackey, special niece Journee Anguiano.

Survivors include her sisters, Mattie White, Linda Benton, Kennetha Smith,  Karen( Ivan) Nichols, Sarah Boyd, and brother Kenneth Lee Boyd. Her husband, Charles Robinson of Knoxville TN. Great nephew that she raised like a son Johntavious Harper, along with special great nephews, Joshua Scudder , De’Amonte Smith, Colson Anguiano, and Travis Carter, and nieces Alissya Mohssin and Daonna McWilson. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special friend Calvin ‘cowboy’ Thompson and special cousins, Torrie Ervin, and special friend Vickie Jones.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Athens, TN, with Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Hammonds Cemetery in Athens, TN.
