Ulys Arnwine

Ulys A. Arnwine, age 76 of Niota, Tn died December 2, 2018 at his home. He attended Oak Grove grade school and J.L Cook High School. He was formerly employed for twenty-five at Bowater Southern, and Martin-Marriott. He was a member and elder of Mt. Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where he received his calling into the ministry. He later requested and was granted letter to become a member of Mt. Cumberland (Piney). He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his son, Ulys Gene Arnwine, and parents, George and Mae Ella Arnwine, brothers, George Arnwine Jr., Marshall Arnwine, William Gene Arnwine, Rubin L. Arnwine, Bobby Elroy Arnwine, Leroy Arnwine and sister Rena Adams.

Survivors include two daughters, Lora Witt of Niota, TN, and Angelia Arnwine, one brother, Wendell(Margaret) Arnwine of Niota, TN. Two sisters, Alice Moore of Buffalo, New York and Ora Scruggs of Niota, TN. Two sister-in-laws, Jessie Arnwine and Pauline Arnwine both of Niota, TN. Two grandsons, William Witt, and Eric Witt, and one great-grandson, Kaison Witt. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,

Funeral services will be Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Moore’s Cemetery in Niota, TN.
