Troy Parker

Troy MacHarris Parker, age 60 a native of Cleveland, TN passed Tuesday,

June 21, 2022 at his home. He was affiliated with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN where he attended with his late mother Martha Barrett Parker. Troy had several employment opportunities where he gained a wide spectrum of experiences, from being a cook to a private health care sitter.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Garland Everett Parker, and Martha Ann Barrett Parker, grandparents, Charles and Zella Parker, Romaine and Willie Mae Barrett Sr., son Orenthial ‘O.J.’ Blair, brother, Reginald ‘Reggie’ Parker Sr., uncles, Earl Jarrett, Nathaniel Jarrett, Jimmy Jarrett, Romaine Barrett Jr., and Timothy Barrett.

Survivors include one brother, Charles ‘Barry’ Parker of Cleveland, TN., son, Michael Moore of Dalton, Ga., grandsons, Tristan Norman of Alaska, Nakoma Gaston, and granddaughter, Aleigha Moore of Dalton, Ga. Aunt Margaret Tate of Cleveland, TN., niece Brittany Parker, nephews, Charles ‘Swan’ Parker, Reginald Parker Jr., Andre Orenthial James Parker, and Eric Donovan Parker, special cousin Martha (Darryl) Craigmiles of Cleveland, TN., special friend Paulette Pugh of Cleveland, TN., many cousins, and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, TN., with Rev. Edward S. Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
