Tony Blair, Jr.

Tony Wilbert Blair Jr. , age 49, a resident of Georgetown, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday September 2, 2021, at a local hospital.

He was born June 22, 1972 to Tony Wilbert Blair Sr. and to the late Mattie Ann Swafford.

Tony graduated from Cleveland High School in 1991. He attended the Cleveland State Police Academy and graduated in 2000. He worked for the McMinn County Sherriff’s Department, Private Security, and Fugitive Recovery.

He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he attended when his health permitted.

Tony loved working with people and children. He became a member of the Masonic Hiwassee Lodge #31 PHA in 2006. He was a member of the 100 Black Men of Bradley County where he served one term as the Vice President. He was also a mentor at Cleveland Middle School for years. Tony loved coaching basketball and football with Parks and Recreation at Black Fox Elementary and Ocoee Middle School.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Michele of 27 years. His Father Tony (Connie) Blair Sr. His children Zavier (Alijah) Blair, Zachery Blair, and Jasmine Blair all of Cleveland. Granddaughter Zayli Blair. Siblings Adafo Blair Sr., Reginald (Amber) Parker Sr., Antwan (Honey) Blair, Antalaya (Veronica) Spencer. A host of niece and nephews. Several aunts & uncles. In- laws Carey and Pam Watson, Jennifer and Jasen Parks, Ashley and Adam Dodson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with pastor, Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. officiating. There will be a walk through visitation one hour prior to the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., and visitation by friends on Friday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. In compliance with covid-19 everyone is ask to wear a mask and  maintain social distancing .
