Thomas Eugene Westfield

Thomas Eugene Westfield, age77 passed away after a lengthy illness at his home in Cleveland, TN.

He was best known to his family and friends as “Wobble”. He served in the United States Army with an honorable discharge. His favorite thing to do was fishing.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Campbell Westfield, his son Carlos Eugene Westfield, and three sisters, Deborah Westfield Bryant, Mallory Westfield Barrett, Thomasa Westfieldand Sylvia Goodine. Three aunts, Sarah Westfield-Brown, Virginia Westfield- Dotson, and Ezra Westfield-Liggett, and great uncle and great aunt James and Essie Blair.

He leaves in mourning his lost, his cherished wife, Lanita Westfield, daughter Tiffanie Westfield of Chattanooga, TN, and son Elisio ‘Tank’ Prater of Cleveland, TN., Thomas Westfield III, TavettWestfield, and Tramine Westfield of Cleveland, Ohio. Grandchildren, Carlos Westfield, Keyanna Westfield, and Kaiwayne Westfield of Chattanooga, TN. Great- granddaughters in Nashville, and Knoxville, TN. One brother, Theodore Westfield of Chattanooga, TN, and sister Peggy Goodine of Cleveland, TN. A special niece, Kim Hammonds of Atlanta, GA., many nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews. A dear friend Arthur Bryant, many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023at 12:00 noon in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Cleveland, TN, with Minister Martha Tibbs delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
