Samantha Pratt

Samantha Quintana Pratt , born September 20, 1983, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. She was the wife of Cory Pratt, the mother of Tavaun, Keandre and Cal-el Pratt, and the daughter of Michael and Angela Rodriguez.

Samantha, was born in Haskell, Texas, where she spent her earlier school years. In December of 1991, she, along with her family relocated to Cleveland, Tennessee, where she continued her education and became a graduate of Cleveland High School in 2002. She grew up with her siblings and was surrounded by all their love and affection. Shortly after graduation she met the love of her life, Cory Pratt, and they spent 17 years working together as they built their family. Married on January 22 nd , 2005, Samantha and Cory together welcomed their three sons, Tavaun, Keandre and Cal-el, into their lives. They later relocated to Cocoa, Florida, where she resided until the time of her passing.

Samantha gave her life to Christ at an early age and remained strong in her faith throughout her time here on earth. She thoroughly enjoyed worshipping at Love Center Church in Titusville, Florida, where she was an active member. Because of her great love for God and His house she ensured that, along with husband, the children also regularly attended the services and develop their own faith and trust in God.

As a child, Samantha developed a love for cooking and was always known as a great helper in the kitchen. Being the oldest child, she could be found constantly watching out for her younger siblings and spending time with them sharing their interests. Samantha was a beautiful mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting her boys in their education, sporting events, or whatever adventures they were engaged in. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, cooking for her family and making friends wherever she went.

Her love for music was evident as she stood with her husband, Cory, a musician. She supported his musical abilities by accompanying him as he devoted his time as the church’s musician, in both Tennessee and Florida. Samantha was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, an d challenges of those around her . Even during her illness, Samantha was authentically and whole heartedly there for those in her life.

Samantha Pratt is survived by her husband Cory Pratt; sons: Tavaun, Keandre and Cal-el in Florida; parents: Michael and Angela Rodriguez in Texas; brother: John Rodriguez in Texas; sister: Heavenly Rodriguez in Tennessee; maternal grandmother: Anna Flores in Texas; several aunts and uncles, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather: Joe Quintana; grandmother: Maria E. Rodriguez and honorary grandfather: Manual Flores; as well as her father-in-law, Cleophas Pratt.

The memorial service for Samantha Pratt will be held at Fellowship of Praise Church, Inman and Lang Street in Cleveland, Tennessee on October 16, 2022 at 5:00 pm.
