Ruth Cox

Ruth Elizabeth ‘Tuddie” Cox, age 71, entered into heaven’s gates on Monday, August 10 ^th , 2020. She was a member of the Church of God Sanctified in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was a faithful member who served on the Mother’s board, attended Sunday School, Women’s Hour of Power and missionary meetings. She attended College Hill High School. She was employed with Maytag for over 40 years before her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Essie Blair, brothers Walter F. Blair, William “Bill” Cansler, and James “Rico” Blair Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Richard B. Cox, daughter Martinique T. (Amos) Williams, granddaughters Amanda and Victoria Williams, stepdaughter Arvilla White, step grandsons Tevin and Kevin White, sisters Linda Sue (Alfred) Tibbs, Phyllis Blair, Mary Anna Blair, sister-in-law Edna (Lomas) Swafford, brother-in-law Larry Cox and a host of nieces and nephews. Special friends Shirley Runyons and Beverly Wells.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 16 ^th , 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Hill Veterans Cemetery, with  Bishop G.R. Hill as the officiant. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15 ^th , 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home - Cleveland, TN.
