Ronald Martin

Ronald LeeShawn Martin, age 31 was born March 19, 1990 in Jackson, MI to Pamela Martin Andrew and Lawrence Derrick Taylor. He moved to Cleveland, TN in 2005 and went to TLC and graduated for the Job Corp in 2009 with his GED diploma and certificate of trade in carpentry and painting. He loved to spend time with his son, playing basketball, swimming and being with his family. His favorite sayings were, “put one in the air”, and “when it’s all said and done it is what it is”, and he had to have hot sauce on everything. He loved to sit and watch Alabama football games with his baby sister and watching classic movies with his Mom (she would look over and see that he was asleep), and having family game nights and being a very active participant. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He would take the shirt off his back. You could always depend on him. He may show up late but he would be there.

He is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Derrick Taylor, great-grandparents, Elizabeth Martin, and Helen Martin. Noble and Izora Conner, Dorothy Gamble. Grandparent, Phyllis Ashley, Delores Andrew, special cousins, Ronnell Martin, James ‘JT’ Cleve, Ricky Upshaw, special uncle, Michael Turner.

The many memories of Ronald and love for his family will be cherished by his wife, Sheena Martin, son, Jamarion Martin, mother, Pamela Andrew, and father, Vincent Andrew, sisters, Joshlyn (James) Martin, Jalissa Martin, brothers, Jamel Black, and Darrell Mattox. Aunts and uncles, Ronald Martin, Donell(Natica)Ashley, Dorothy (Kevin)Ashley, Donella(Darrin) Golden, Tashay Ashley, Latesha Ashley, Martell Ashley, Tonya Taylor, Tony Taylor, Sharon Reynolds, Michael Taylor, Terrance Taylor, Maurice Conner, Marcel Conner, De’Anna Andrew, and Donna Frost. Special aunts and uncles, Angela Paymon, Chico Reynolds, Chuckie Conner, Russell Reynolds, uncle Johnny Reynolds, and Derrick Heard. Nieces, Jamya Martin, Jamarria Martin, Jazmine ‘lil monkey’ Ramseur, Don Neshya Ashley, nephews, James Reese Jr. and Keshawn Robertson.

Special friends, Derrick Morgan, Trey Taylor, James Mead, Lucious Mohammad,.Special great aunt, Kathy Super and great uncle  Bruce Conner. In compliance to COVID-19 There will be a walk though visitation on Wednesday, March  3rd, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, TN., with Rev. Lawrence Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
