Robert Hawkins Arnwine, “Hawk” age 73 of Athens, Tennessee passed at his residence Friday October 18, 2019. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Army.
He was the son of the late Augustine and Carrie Arnwine, and is also preceded in death by three sisters, Lelia Renfro, Almeda Goodner, and Zelda Mae Curtis.
Survivors include one son, Shelton Malone, of Etowah, TN. One grandson, Dominique Malone, two step-children, LaSonya Walker, and Margaret Arnwine, Four sisters, Bonnita Smith of Athens, TN., Joyce Hunter of Murfreesboro, TN, Gloria Arnwine of Athens, TN., and Marilyn (Thomas) Cates of Riceville, TN. One brother, Herman Arnwine, one aunt Elizabeth Carruthers, one brother-in-law Lewis Curtis of Knoxville, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Charles Hunter officiating. Visitation by friends will be on Tuesday October 22, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN.
