With deep sadness, the family announces the unexpected passing of Robert S. Cobb on March 21, 2025.

Known as the “Mayor of Parkstown” and a cherished member of the “Porch Crew,” Robert will be remembered for his quick wit, impromptu fish fries, and love of visiting with friends. He found joy in building forts and coloring with his great-grandchildren. A man of faith, he served as a deacon and was a proud retiree of Bowaters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith Cobb; his sister, Diane Harrison; and his niece, Kellie McDermott-Bradford.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lois; his children, Marla, Mia (Carroll), Justin, and Nathan; his beloved grandchildren, Camisha (Brady), Ben (Morgan), Matthew, Serenity, Elijah, Katana, Gabria, and Selton; and his great-grandchildren, Winston, Mila, Bryson, Jace, and Legacy. He is also survived by his sisters, Gilda McDermott and Tina Harvey; his brother, Guy Cobb; and a host of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his life. Services will be held at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home in Athens, TN, with visitation on Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service on Saturday at Hammonds Cemetery, Athens, TN.
