Reva Moore

Reva Moore, age 91 formerly of Meigs, County Tennessee and a long time resident of Chattanooga, TN died Wednesday, June 28, 2028 at Erlanger Medical Center.

Ms. Reva Moore taught herself to read and write, and was very well accomplished at handling her own business affairs, by writing her own checks and paying her own bills. She retired from Southern Filter as a professional seamstress. She attended New Mount Zion Church in Chattanooga, TN. She loved sewing and crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Simon Moore and Lucy Robinson, her beloved son Virgil Moore, and 12 sisters and brothers.

Survivors include his seven grandchildren children, Vincent Sharp, Virgil DeElizer Sharp, Michelle Hickey, Ann Dodd-Winn, Kristie Hansard, Sheba Hansard, and Victor Clark, all of Cleveland, TN.  25 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. One sister, Joann Robinson of Florida. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends Tina Cheeks and Virgil’s friend Debra Hart both of Chattanooga, TN., and many other friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, TN with minister Richard Smithdelivering the final words of comfort. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 3:00 pm. until 6:00 p.m. and one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
