Rashad Nathaniel Goldston age 28 passed Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Dalton, Georgia. He was born to Deken Porte Canady and Daniel Goldston on September 3,1992 in Cleveland Tennessee. Rashad attended Erwin High School in Birmingham Alabama, and received a certificate in heavy machinery thru Job Corp. Using those skills, he later was offered a job at Volkswagen in Chattanooga, TN.
As an infant Rashad was baptized at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland, Tennessee, and grew to his own understanding of Christ. He attended church at Fairview in Birmingham Alabama and asked the pastor to baptize him again.

Although his life was short -lived Rashad enjoyed every moment of it.He was always smiling, very outgoing, and had lots of friends. He was loved by those he met. He was a friend to those he cherished. He will be truly missed by those that love and cherished him.

He has been heavenly reunited with his father Daniel Goldston, his grandparents Rufus Porte, Lincoln and Jeanette Goldston, uncle David Goldston, and aunts Diana Ellis and Annette Lowe.

Rashad leaves to morn his beloved mother Deken Porte Canady and his loving father Christopher Canady and his 94yrs.grandmother Roseline Porte.
His children Jahliel Dodd, Don’Neshya Ashley, TyAnna Goldstone Niyana Goldston , and his long time girlfriend Kyanna Hutchins. Other surviving relatives, his siblings. Lauran Hawkins, Kristie Canady, and Loganne Canady, uncles, and aunties, Algernon ( Estell) Porte, John(Manel) Porte, Edward(Leona)Porte, Margie( Nathaniel) Goodridge, Rexie (Ernest) Streeter, Sonie Porte, Benny Goldston, Claude(Jewell) Goldston, Willis (Janet) Goldston, Angelo Goldston, Marshall Goldston, Mae Frances(Rev. Joe) Bradford, Lessie Bell(Antonio) Burnette, Elizabeth Smith, Louise Williams, and Sandra Goldston. Great- aunts, Evelyn King, Hazel Ramsey, Willie Jean Johnson, and Mattie Jean Roberts, and many cousins from the Porte ,Goldston and Canady families.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church  on Paul Huff Parkway in Cleveland, Tennessee with Rev. Leewellyn Johnson delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.

In compliance with COVID-19 there will be a walkthrough visitation from 12: noon until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home – 165 Lang Street Cleveland, TN .
