Rachel Pauline Billips-Linder

In Loving memory of Rachel Pauline Billips-Linder, age 63, went home to be our Heavenly Father, November 25th, 2024 at the healthcare facility. She was born in Welch,West Virginia and was raised and attended school in Athens, Tn. where she became a longtime resident. She was a dietarian for 9 years at the NHC Facility center. She will be remembered as a longtime caregiver to her family and also to many children throughout her lifetime. She also loved cooking. She attended the Great Mount PleasantMissionary Baptist Church of Athens, Tn. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Bernard Billips, Sr. of WV and Charles Anna Morris of Fleming, Kentucky, and her son, Steven Anthony Billips of Athens, Tn. The family legacy that she leaves will be deeply cherished by her children, Jennifer(Patrick) Billips-Williams, John Mitchell Linder, Jr. and Rebecca Linder all of Athens, Tn. 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Lawrence Morris of Arlington, Texas, Bruce Morris of Arizona, Tyrone Morris, Bernice Morris, Renee(Randall)Johnson of Athens, Tn and Elizabeth(John)Billips-Moore of Birmingham, Alabama. Special friends are as follow, Renee Ramsey-Martin, Janet Murr and Michael Eugene Arnwine of Athens, Tn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Athens, TN at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Eady delivering the eulogy and words from Rev. Wayne Lee Morris.The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Hammonds Cemetery.
