Patricia Kay Macon

Patricia Kay Macon age 65, went home to be with the Lord, December 7, 2020 at her home in Sweetwater, TN. She was the last baby girl born to Ralph and Louise Buttram. As a child, Kay was mischievous, outspoken, and loved playing pranks on her three older sisters, She graduated from Spring City High School in 1973. She married John Macon in 1974.She worked at Damey’s Factory in Athens, TN until she retired. She and John had one daughter who was the light of their lives (until the grandkids that is). Kay was a member of Mt. Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was an usher for many years. Kay loved to sew, sing, dance, loved watching Walker Texas Rancher, and cooking.

Kay is preceded in heaven by her parents Ralph and Louise Buttram. Her beloved husband John Macon, her sisters, Shena Todd and Ada Bell Roberts.

Surviving her memories is her only daughter, Jeanette (Reggie) Smith. One sister, Sylvania (Robert) Bailey. Two grandchildren, Devan(Tommy) Taylor and Malik Macon. Sister-in-laws, Shirley Stewart, and Martha Gee. Brother-in-law, Terry(Barbara) Macon. Special nieces, Stacey Moore and Erica Roberts. Special cousin, Janice Locke. Special friends, Brenda (William) Smith, and Tater Moore. A large number of cousins and friends.

We the family will miss Kay’s smile, laughter, talks, food, and presence. We know that we will see Kay again.

Grave side services will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Cumberland Church Cemetery in Sweetwater, TN.  with   Rev. Pam Scruggs delivering the eulogy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made on the funeral home website in Patricia Macon’s name.
