Mary H. Looney Gordon

Mary Helen Looney Gordon , age 82 passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN .

She was born on April 15, 1940, in Bigs Springs, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Gordon, her parents, John and Annie Bell Sharp, one grandson,  and 1 great-grandson.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Linda Parks, Jacqueline Looney, and Patsy ( Maurice) Pugh. Two sons, Alvin Parks and Marcus (Laucretia) Looney, and two step-children, James ( Carol) Looney and Ronnie Looney. Two sisters, Johnnie Mae Sharp of Chattanooga, TN, and Della Johnson of New York, NY. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Athens, TN. Graveside services will immediately follow at Hammonds Cemetery in Athens, TN with Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating.

In compliance with COVID-19, social distancing will be observed and face masks are required. Service of loving memory are entrusted to M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, TN.
