Marshall King
January 4, 1948 — February 11, 2025
Marshall T. King, 77, of Riceville, Tennessee and former resident of Detroit, Michigan died on Feb. 11, 2025. at a healthcare facility in Knoxville, Tn. He attended J. L. Cook High School and eventually went on to become a die setter for a car parts manufacturer in Detroit, Michigan. After sustaining an injury he returned to Tennessee and became a resident of Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel L. and Margaret Elder King, brother Dana ‘Dan’ King, and grandchildren David and Daniel King.
Survivors include his children Marshall T. King Jr. of Cadiz, Spain, Charity Y. King of Knoxville, and Anthony M. King of Athens. 5 grandchildren, Anthony and Marcello King of Spain, Ciara Armstrong and Jaden Smith of Knoxville, Hannah King of Madisonville. His sister, Doris E. King Mayes of Riceville; A brother, Harry A. King of Cleveland and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Cleveland, Tennessee with Rev. Archie Smartt officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
