Margaret Brown

Margaret V. Brown age 88 of Cleveland, TN. died Thursday morning August 3, 2017 in a local health care facility. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and attended 1 ^st Street Church of Christ in Cleveland, TN ., and continued her walk with God by attending Christian Fellowship Center in Cleveland, TN. She spent a great deal of time and energy as a homemaker and occasionally working for her father at the paper shed in Cleveland, TN., and was employed for a short time at ConAgra.

She is preceded in death by her parents Luther McMahan and Jennie Moore McMahan. Three children, infant son Tony Brown, James Hardy Brown, and daughter Margie Brown-Ramsey, grandson Dezi Whaley, two sisters, Bennie Mae Knox and Mialice Smith.

Survivors include six children, Thomas Brown, JoAnn(Gerald) Jones, Vonziel Brown, Johnnie Bell Brown, Charles Brown, and Eugene Brown all of Cleveland, TN. One sister, Daisy Phillips of Cleveland, TN., niece Mary Ruth McClain of Chattanooga, TN. Twelve grandchildren, Dexter Brown, Johnny Ramsey, Kimberly Anderson, William Brown, Phillip(Katy) Brown, Nicky(Calvin) Ross, Mana Ramsey, April(Vernon) Bramlett, Leeatoe Brown, Kelia Watters, and Dionte Moore. Sixteen great-grandchildren, former daughter-in-law Dawn Brown, of Chattanooga, TN.,  many nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday August 13, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Center in Cleveland, TN. , with pastor Martha Tibbs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00p.m. at the church.
