Louise Carden

Minnie Louise Carden age 98, made her heavenly transition on Saturday morning July 29, 2023, at her home in Etowah, TN. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Donna Mae Armstrong. She is also preceded in death by her husband Joe Carden, sisters Annie Mae Boyd, Charlene Scruggs, and Elizabeth Moss, and brother Joseph Armstrong.

She was a member of Mount Olive AME Zion Church of Etowah, TN. Her career in life was that of a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and caring daughter Mary (Frannie) Williams, sisters, Mary Nell Douglas, Rosalee Colbert, and Christine Lowary all of Etowah, TN. She is also survived by a host of close nieces, nephews, cousins, and many family and friends. Special friends, Eloise Moore, Jeff, and Holly Harris.

The homegoing celebration will be Friday, August 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olive AME Zion Church with pastor Rev. Benjamin Jackson delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., and visitation by friends will also be on Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at New Zion Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
