Lola Ree Benton age 94 of Bradley County, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Polk County, TN.
She attended King School, and was well known to the Polk county area years ago. At some point her family moved to Bradley County,TN.
Lola was a very firm believer of attending various churches as long as the word of God was being preached.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Benton and Edna Mae Benton, one sister, Helen Piersaul, two brothers,Curtis Benton, Alvin Benton, niece, Geneva Morgan Arnold, grandson, Curtis Parks, great niece, Sonya Brabson, great nephew. Cornelius Montez Morgan, and many other relatives.
She leaves to cherish many memories, six daughters, Deborah(Doyle) Butler of Belcamp, MD., Virginia(Dennis) Goodine and Patricia Lattimore both of Cleveland, TN., Sandra Parks of Chattanooga, TN., Marion Jackson and Leslie Jackson both of Cleveland, TN. Fourteen grandchildren,Eddie Goodine, Janel Nguyen, Dennis Goodine Jr, Connie Goodine, Tanasha Gash, Casarae Lattimore, Desmon Benton, Donald Benton, Rotosha Taylor, Jasmine Benton, Anton Parks of Pikeville, TN., Ebony Trotter of Milford Del., and Candice Billings of Havre Grave, MD.
Twenty-eight great- grandchildren, and four great-greatgrandchildren. Three nephews, Auston Morgan, Doyle Benton, and Gary Benton. Niece, Carolyn Morgan, a very special niece and cousin, who really stepped up in this time of grief. “We love you dearly you have done so much, love you always.” A very devoted friend, Mrs. Betty Person, who would always call her “Girlfriend”. Many more family and friends who know her.
Home Going Celebration service will be held Wednesday, August 24,2022 at 1:00 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
Visitation by friends will be from 2:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, TN.
