Linda Smith

Linda Sue Dodd Smith age 73, a resident of Cleveland passed away on August 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Chatsworth, Georgia on February 28, 1949, the daughter of the late Samuel and Willie Dodd.  Linda loved music and most importantly she loved spending time with her family. She was  a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she had been attending ever since she was  3 year old. She was a member of the class of 1968  of Cleveland High School, and worked for many years at Brown Stove in Cleveland, TN.

She is also preceded in death by her husband Roy Smith, two sisters, Rosetta Dodd and Mae Mayner, and brothers, Bobby Dodd, Samuel Dodd and Thomas Dodd.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter Yancy Dodd of Cleveland, TN. Four sisters, Lorene Thompson, Evelyn Taylor(George), Willie Dodd Sharp, and Mary Park all of Cleveland, TN. Two brothers, Michael Dodd ( Gisele) of Cleveland, TN., and James Dodd(Misty) of Maryville, TN. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Brewer officiating. The family  will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 1:00p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
