Lebron Massengill Jr. age 80 of Ooltewah, TN passed Wednesday April 22, 2020 at his residence.  He was retired from McKee Bakery after working over thirty plus years and from the Hamilton County Recreation Department. He attended Booker Washington High School and was a member of Pure Holiness Church of God where he served as a deacon and on the usher board. He loved fishing and working on cars.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lebron Massengill Sr., and Marie Thompson Massengill, sisters and brothers, Martha Crawford, Charlotte Glenn, Rosa Mae Barrett, Emma Lee Lenior, and Druscilla Goode, Robert Swafford, Charles Massengill, and Andrew ‘AJ’ Massengill, and first wife Carolyn Smith Massengill, second wife Hattie Howard Massengill, and step-daughter Patricia Favors and step-son Edward Howard.

Survivors include, his wife Sandra Hill Massengill of Ooltewah, TN., two sons, Timothy (Stephanie) Massengill of Cleveland, TN., and Hosea Lebron Massengill of Chattanooga, TN. Special devoted  grandson, Timothy A’Donte (Chelsea) Massengill of Chattanooga, TN.  Step-daughters, Paris Ferby, Flora Addison of Ooltewah, TN., Julia Tisdell of Chattanooga, TN., and special step- daughter Jean Howard Hill of Washington, DC.  A special close friend Eric Sims. Step-grandson, Jimmy(Rita) Favors of Birmingham, Ala. Two sisters, Bettie(Fredrick) Pitner  and Gwendolyn (Robert) Pitner all of Cleveland, TN.. Two brothers, Arthur (Eula) Massengill of Chattanooga, TN., and Thomas ( Nancy) Massengill of Georgetown, TN. Two sisters-in-law, Lucille Massengill and Mary Massengill. Caregivers, Marlin Reeuver, and Sherry Jones. Many other relatives and dear friends.

The body will lie in state at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home -Cleveland, TN on Tuesday April 28, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., with private ceremony to follow. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
