Kelvin Arnel Barrett 64, of Decatur, TN died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Starr Regional Medical Center, Athens, TN.
He was a graduate of McMinn County High School. He was employed as a CNA, at UT Medical Center, Life Care Center, and Decatur Wellness and Rehabilitation Center.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Scruggs Looney, his step-father Edward Looney; his brother Miguel Lane Suber.
He leaves behind one daughter, China Tasarah Barrett of Niota, TN, who loved him dearly, and will cherish his memory forever. Three sisters and one brother-in-law, Patsy(Maurice) Pugh, of Cleveland, TN, Jacqueline Looney of Athens, TN, Linda Parks of Decatur, TN; seven brothers and three sisters-in-law, Marcus (Laucretia) Looney of Niota, TN, Guy (Tiffany) Looney of Springboro, Ohio, Alvin Parks of Decatur, TN, James Edward (Carol) Looney of Atlanta, GA, Ronnie Looney of Cleveland, TN, Massio Looney of Knoxville, TN, Lawrence Edward Looney of Indiana. One special aunt, Virginia Wynn of Knoxville, TN, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
