Joyce Ann Bolden

Joyce Ann Bolden , age 60 died July 4, 2021 at her home in Cleveland, Tennessee.  She was a retired  for Greenville Public  School in Greenville, Mississippi after 20 years of employment there.  She had also worked as a firefighter for the Peace Corp station in Idaho, and worked with the elderly and aging in Mississippi. Joyce was a very outgoing person, who never met a stranger. Anyone she could help she would. She was a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University where she obtained her master’s degree in social work. She grew up in Victory Temple Baptist Church in Mississippi, where she taught Sunday school, was an usher, and sang in the choir, she later move to First Baptist Church in Greenville, MS where she continue to serve the Lord, and upon relocating to  Cleveland, Tennessee she found a church home at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Joyce is proceeded in death by her parents Elton and Alberta Jones, sister, Sandra Jones, brother Tyrone Jones, and husband Sam Bolden.

Survivors include her children, daughter, Simone Bolden, and son Joseph Bolden, two brothers, Walter (Kim) Jones of Cleveland, TN., and Carls Jones of Millington, TN. Two sisters, Linda (Alfred) Richardson and Carolan Jones both of Millington, TN. Seven nieces, and four nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church East & Inman Street Cleveland, TN., with pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.  Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery-South. Services of loving memory entrusted to M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home- Cleveland, Tennessee.

The family request that facemask be worn, and social distancing be observed.
