Joel Nathaniel Upton age 56 died Monday, September 25, 2023 at his home in Athens, TN. He was employed for many years at Denso in Athens, TN., and studied at Ohio State University.
He is survived by his wife, Brandi Renee Upton of Athens, his parents, Dr. James N. (Rebecca) Upton of Columbus, Ohio, and his mother Alice Jean McDermott Oliver of Athens, TN. Three children, Eric Upton, Neaziah Upton, and Joslyn Pryor. Sisters, Carolyn Jones of Athens, TN., Stephanie Oliver ( Tracy Barnes) of Baltimore, MD., Yvette Oliver also of Baltimore, MD, Angela ( Alvin) Arnwine of Knoxville, TN., and brother Benjamin Upton of New York.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home - Athens, TN.
