Jimmy Fain

James  Roy “Jimmy” Fain age 76 of Englewood , Tn passed  at his residence on Thursday, November 14, 2019. At a young age he joined Star Bethel Baptist Church in Etowah, TN. He graduated from Cook High  School in Athens, Tn and right after graduation joined the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam Conflict and was recognize for outstanding service and honorably discharged. He worked in many areas, in and around East Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rachel Mooney and Will Fain, brothers, Robert Lee Jackson and Howard Jackson, and his wife Gina Underwood Fain. Jimmy loved hanging out and connecting with people.

Survivors include a devoted nephew and caretaker, Delton Boyd and his finance Tasha Fulton of Englewood , TN., and nephew ’RJ’ Robert Jackson. One daughter, Daphne Fain. One sister, Brenda Jackson Boyd of Etowah, TN, many more nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  at  the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tn with Rev. James Parris delivering the words of comfort. The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
