Jimiese Lequann McDermott age 31 of Sweetwater, TN passed Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in Gainesville, Ga.
Jimiese was a graduate of Sweetwater High School class of 2011 where he was an All American in every sport, baseball, basketball as well as football. He was a member of First United Church of Christ where he joined at an early age.
He is preceded in death by his parents, ShamalhMcDermott and Angela Oggs.
Memories of love and family will be cherished by his grandparents, Melvin L Oggs and Earnest Dean Oggs of Sweetwater, Tn., and Carol ‘Wincie” McDaniel of Athens, TN, his five children, Jayden Lequann Knox, Zaylen Tashon McDermott, Aliyanna Sharee McDermott, Kyleigh May Lowry and Jackson Thacher. Sisters, Jasmine Lavon Oggs, and Saniya McDermott, and brothers, Jarrell Harrison, Shamalh McDermott Jr.and Kwame McDermott. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12:00 noon at First United Church of Christ in Sweetwater, TN with pastor Rev. Nicholas Jones officiating.
Visitation by friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the church. Internment will immediately follow the service at Sweetwater Memorial Park.
