Jamey Martin

James (Jamey) Terrell Martin, Sr., 46, of Athens, TN went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James W. Martin and Juanita J. Martin, Jesse Stone and Margaret E. Stone.
He was a 1989 graduate of McMinn County High School, and attended Middle TN State University. Throughout his career, he worked as a commissioning electrical engineer around the country, was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 175, a business owner, and most recently a licensed realtor with Premier Property. He was a member of Overcoming Faith Christian Center of Athens, TN, where he loved to hear Praise & Worship music by their anointed musical department and hear the life-changing word of God from Dr. Harold McCowan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Arteana P. Stacy Martin and two sons James "Terrell" Martin, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA and Jaylon Martin of Athens, TN; Parents James E. and Sharon Martin of Athens, TN; Sister, Krishna (Reginald) Andrews of Memphis, TN; Brother, Eric (Tabitha) Martin of Raleigh, NC; and Brother-in-Law, Jonathan (Heather) Lattimore of Riceville, TN. Aunts, Ethel (Walter) King, Riceville, TN, Helen McMahan, Athens, TN, Rebecca Porter, Atlanta, GA, Delores (Delbert) Horton, Kemah, TX, Greta (Stanley) Hamby, Pinson, AL. Uncle, Don Stone, Athens, TN. Nieces and nephews, Asha, Dylan, Camden, Bryson, Yasmin, Isabel, and Isaac. A host of loving cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 4:00 p.m . at the Overcomers Faith Christian Center with Pastor Harold McCowan officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Services of loving memory entrusted to M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Service- Athens, TN.
