Henry (Haney/Slim) Odell Wells, age 83 of Cleveland, Tn, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2022, at Life Care of Cleveland.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and son. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and giving gifts. He was a lover of sports, photography, reading God’s word and listening to Christian broadcast. He loved to talk about the Lord. He was a quiet man but if you brought up the bible or sports, he could talk for hours. Henry was proceeded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Wells, daughter Angela Brown, father Henry Wells, mother Martha Jane Johnson-Wells and stepmother Mary Wells, brothers Edward, Randy and Cletus (Anna Jean) Wells, and sisters Sandra Wells, Charlotte Elaine Wells-Walker and Connie Faye Ware.

Those left to cherish his memories are sons Rodney (Sharon) Wells, Christopher (April) Wells, and son-in-law, Jeff Brown all of Cleveland Tn., daughters Karen (Christopher) Barton of Chattanooga, Tn and Elizabeth Wells of Cleveland, Tn., grandchildren Monique (Nathaniel) Moody, Michael Brown and Krishayla Wells all of Cleveland, Tn.,   Gabrielle Barton, Nathaniel Barton and Emmanuel Barton all of Chattanooga, Tn., one great grandchild Kayden Moody of Cleveland TN, brother Vincent (Renea) Wells, sisters Shirley Wells, Louvenia Wells, Stephanie Wells all of Cleveland, Tn., Marva Keith of Chattanooga TN., sister-in-law Beverly Wells of  Cleveland, TN., and  special friends Anne Maness and Melvin Nichols of Cleveland, Tn., and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.  at the North Cleveland Church of God- Dixson Chapel with Pastor Martha Tibbs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service   at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Visitation by friends will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Cleveland, TN. Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery.
