Henry Ashmore

Henry Ashmore Jr. age 82 of Cleveland, TN passed August 10, 2021 at Bradley Health care facility in Cleveland, TN.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and retired from Bendix/Honeywell, and was also employed as a security guard at M&M Mars in Cleveland, TN. Henry enjoyed travel, working on cars and driving nice cars, entertaining guest in his home, and was member of the But Brothers United Together social club. He was also a member of the Negro Baseball League, where he played for the Cleveland Indians.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary E. Ashmore in 2013.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 16, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home – Cleveland, TN with pastor, Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery- South. The family request that mask be worn. The family will receive friends thirty minutes before the service from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
