Glenn Witt

Glen Edward Witt, age 70 of Athens, TN. passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at a local health care facility.
He was a native and life-long resident of Athens, TN. He was of the Church of God in faith and was currently attending Calvary Tabernacle. He was a former employee of Athens Products, having retired after twenty plus years. He served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles L. Witt.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Vera E. Witt. Four sisters, Vera L. Jones, Teresa Witt, and Elizabeth Witt all of Atlanta, Ga., and Janet R. King of Athens, TN. One brother, Randolph( Betty) Witt of Nashville, TN. One uncle, Burkett Witt of Athens, TN. Four children, Glen McCroskey of Chattanooga, TN., Aisha Z. Scruggs and Rashied Wilkerson both of Athens, TN., and Bronwyn Witt of Etowah, TN. Eight grandchildren, and special friends, Jimmy Simpson, Tony Murdic and Gene Arnwine all of Athens, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, TN., with Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Internment will follow at Hammonds Cemetery. Visitation by friends will begin after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday until 6:00 p.m. at M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, TN.
