Glenn Edward Johnson age 61 passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at his home in Athens, TN. He was a graduate of McMinn High School and served in the Army National guard briefly. He was of the Methodist faith and had attended Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church in Etowah, TN. He was a long time employee of Waupaca, where he worked in quality control. He was employed lastly at Mayfield dairy.
He is preceded in death by his wife Monica McGaughy Johnson, his father Glenn H. Johnson.
Survivors include his mother, Jennie Kirk Johnson of Athens,TN., sister Joy(Curtis) Mapp of Athens, TN., and brothers, Fredrick Johnson of Athens, TN, and Kenneth Johnson of Memphis, TN. Six nieces, and nephews, sisters-in-law, Karen Asbury, Yvonne Jones, Shelia Glover, Connie Dunn, and Vicki Bragg. and brothers-in-law, Arnold Asbury, Jason McGaughey, Robert McGaughey, Van McGaughey. Aunts, Alberta(Swan) Hoover, Joyce Brown of Cleveland, TN, and Mary Belk of Detroit, MI and uncle Robert(Peggy) Johnson of Cleveland, TN .
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Vant Hardaway delivering the eulogy in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Service- Athens.
