Genevieve Sharp

Genevieve Hassler Sharp age 83 of Cleveland, TN., passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 in a local health care facility. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN., where she served in the choir, on the usher board, on several committees and intercessory group. She was a 1954 graduate of College Hill High School in Cleveland, TN.

She was an amazing cook in many areas of Cleveland for over twenty years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cora and Jessie Hassler and sister Melinda Williams.

Survivors include a loving husband John Wesley Sharp Sr., children, Irvin and Sherri Sharp, Marcella Hudgins, Patrick Sharp and Margaret Jones. Brother and sister, Don and Debra Hassler. Five grandsons, and two granddaughters, multiples of nieces and nephews. Dear friends, Paulette Pugh, Barbara Hunt, Sandra Jones, Tonya Woods, and Daisy Phillips. A host of many very special and devoted friends and church family.

Home going and Celebration of life service will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN with pastor Rev. Edward S. Robinson Sr. delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
