Franklin Cleveland

Franklin Cleveland , 89 of Acworth, Georgia, died Friday September, 29 2017 in Woodstock, Georgia. He was born on May, 26 1928 in Sweetwater, Tennessee. Franklin grew up in the area of  Piney, and Sweetwater Tennessee, and spent his latter years living in Athens, Tennessee with his sister, Ellen Cleveland who dedicated her entire life to his care after he was prematurely struck with blindness in his early life. In 2009, he moved to Acworth,  Georgia to live with his niece Deborah (Moore) Wilson and her husband Dimitri Wilson. He loved his family, and was very outgoing, while always talking about going home to Piney. He enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, spending time at the lake on weekends, walking with his niece, and going to Petland to play with puppies.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Frank Cleveland Jr, Mother, Byrdie Jones Moore Cleveland, Sister Mabel Reese, brother, John Moore, sisters Rena Addison and Ellen Cleveland, and brother Shadrick (Alice) Moore.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater, TN with Rev. Perry Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery.
