Floyd Zacharie II was born July 30, 1980 to Floyd and Daphine K. Zacharie in Houston Texas. He departed this life on January 10. 2025. Floyd II attended grade school in Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from Tyner High School where he played football and later played and won the 1997 Tennessee High School Class 2A State Championship team as a defensive linebacker number 55. He was baptized at Tucker Baptist Church at a young age. As a youth member of Tucker Baptist, he sang in the Youth and Mass choirs where he was a talented soloist and known for his beautiful voice. Floyd II spent two years in the Army, where he was last stationed, at Ft. Lawton in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Here he met Angel Williams and shortly after that came his son, Jalen Williams-Zacharie. He later married and to that union was added a daughter, Katheryn L. Zacharie. Floyd II was skilled at driving big trucks (18 wheelers), forklifts, and any heavy equipment machinery. He loved music from the 70’s and 80’s. He had an old school soul.
Floyd lI was preceded in death by his grandfathers and grandmothers Sherman and Evelyn King, Adam and Retha Zacharie, mother Daphine K Zacharie, aunt Ballerie King and uncles Leslie, Ralph, Keith and Larry Zacharie.
Floyd II leaves to cherish his memory: his children Jalen Williams-Zacharie, Katheryn L. Zacharie, father Floyd Sr. (Patsy), sister Candyce P. Sasu, brothers Christopher D. Zacharie and Corey Talley (Keyata), uncles Sherman King (Carolyn), Donel King (Jackie), and Godfather/mother Michael Hines (Theresa), best friend Darmecus Rawls, nephews and nieces Elijah Sasu, Corey Jr., Namarian, Caden, Mar’shyia, Comorey, Cormiyah, Kailani Talley, and a host of cousins, extended family and close friends.
Let us remember Floyd II, and carry his memory with us, knowing that his spirit will live on through the love we share and the stories we tell.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. At Tucker Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN.
