Ester M. Moore

Ester “Angel,”Nappy” Moore age 52 of Niota, TN. died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at her residence. She was a member of Lane Chapel A.M.E.  Church in Niota, TN. A former CNA with Life Care, and a member of the 1987 graduating class of McMinn County High School. She is preceded in death by her father, James E. Moore.

Survivors include one daughter, Tomah Parris of Niota, TN., and one son, Massio Looney of Niota, TN. Two grandchildren, Quincy Looney and Nichols Looney. Mother, Mattie Grace Smith of Athens, TN. Three sisters, Sharon Bradley of Athens, TN., Tonya McDermott of Niota, TN., and Rebecca Moore of Athens, TN. One brother, Clinton Moore of Niota, TN., one uncle, Lewis Bradley of Athens, TN., One aunt, Cora Louise Moore of Niota, TN. Devoted friend Ronnie Looney of Athens,TN. Special nieces, Martina Henry, Rayven McDermott, Kamesia Sharp. Nephews, Jules Moore, Shaquille Moore, great nephews, Jamaal Graves, Jaquarius McDermott, Josh McDermott, and great nieces Courtney McDermott and Delisha Graves. A host of other relatives and friends, special friend, Danita Brown and Melanie Monroe.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN with Rev. Hugh Dixson delivering the eulogy and Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hammonds Cemetery.
