Eric Benion

Eric Deshon Benion age 46 of Cleveland, TN passed away Wednesday March 21, 2018 at Tennova Hospital in Cleveland, TN.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Benion and gradfather Eugene Benion Sr. all from Sparta, Ga.

Eric was a member of C.H. Ellison Overcoming Church of God, Cleveland, Tn. He graduated from Hancock Central High School class of 1989. He attended Fort Valley College and received his degree in accounting, He loved his family and loved his daughter.

He loved sports and washing cars and always helping out others. He was a good man, and loved to play the drums at the church. He always kept a smile on his face, there never was a time when he was mad. His heart was filled with love, peace, and laughter. He never complained.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 17 years, Tonya Benion of Cleveland, Tn., one daughter, Myrissa Benion also of Cleveland, Tn. Mother, Rachel Benion of Sparta, Ga. Father-in-law, Elder Robert Pitner and mother-in-law Gwendolyn Pitner of Cleveland, TN. Brothers, Rolando Reid and Ranoski Holsey both of Sparta, Ga. Aunts, Dorothy (David) Griswall of Sparta, Ga., and Willie Steel of Cleveland, Ohio and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home with Elder Robert Pitner delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
