Emilie Henry

Emilie Marie Henry age 69 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 20, 2020. She was born January 29, 1951 in Athens, TN. She attended J.L. Cook High School. She worked at Damy’s Industries for twenty -five years. She was a very active member of her church, Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church , Athens, TN. until her illnesses. She served on the usher board, kitchen committee, choir, and pastor’s aide. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, family, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Mildred Long and June Roberts, along with two sisters, Rosalyn Arnwine and Brenda Roberts.

Loving memories will be cherished by her family, three daughters, Ayanna Roberts, Sciarra “Kesha” Henry, and Le’Tima “Tee” Henry. Two brothers, Charles “Tony” Long and Calvin “Bo” Roberts. One sister, Angela “Pete” Long. Four grandchildren, Ahsante’ Smith, Khaleil Harper, Aynesha Henry and Le’Azia Henry. Four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and friends. Along with many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Athens, TN., with Rev. Kenneth Scaife delivering the eulogy and Rev. William H. Ryan III officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hammonds cemetery in Athens, TN
