Derondo Coy Logan

DeRondo Coy Logan age 43 of Sweetwater, TN passed August 7, 2019. He accepted Christ at an early age, and served in a continued manner throughout his life. He compassion and love for others resonated as part of his character.

He is preceded in death by his father Lindsey Coy Logan, his grandparents, Rufus and Ruby Thompson, Lindsey Coy Logan Sr., and Mildred Logan, uncles, Rufus P. Thompson, Donald Logan, Wayne Logan, and Devery ‘Tunk’ Logan , and aunt Cheri Tate.

Survivors include his wife, Candice C. Logan of Sweetwater, TN., one daughter, Maranda Lashay Cantrell of Athens, TN. Two step-daughters, Cameron Dennard, Hanna Dennard of Sweetwater, TN. One step-son, Shannon Dennard of Knoxville, TN. Mother, Molly(Jimmy) Cannady of Sweetwater, TN. Sisters, Carmen Hall of Knoxville, TN., Rachel and Felicia Cannady and three brothers, James Cannady, Dominic Cannady and Christopher Cannady. Four grandchildren, Tiberius Norries, Aubree Strange, King Cantrell, and Aa’Ron Cantrell. Aunts, Judy(Lonnie) Jones, Carolyn Logan, Debbie Logan, Avis Logan, Sandra Logan Barnes. Uncles, Carl Thompson, Michael Logan, Lennis ‘Cuz’ (Kimberly) McDowell Logan. Two nieces, Destiny Oggs, and Angel Hall. One nephew, Ivan Hall, one great niece Kaleigha Oggs. Mother-in-law, Deborah Lee Carnley. Special cousins, Nicholas Jones, Roy Jones, and special friends, Marcus(Tobi) Wilson, Thomas Billingsley and Nathan Hancock. Many other cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN with minister Nicholas Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3: 00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hackney Chapel (Unitia) Cemetery in Lenoir City, TN.
