David “Dee” Winslow Jackson , age 83 of Etowah, Tn, died Friday, January 3, 2020 at his residence. He was an employee of Cleveland Tire Co., after forty years of service. He loved working on cars, especially enjoying Nascar, fishing and listening to the blues were some of his favorite things to do.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mamie Jackson,, brother Ronnie Jackson, and nephew, James Williams.
Survivors include his two sons, Gerald Frazier(Roxanne) of Etowah, TN., and David Frazier of Etowah, TN. Three sisters, Rosemary Johnson(Darrell) of Cleveland, TN., Marilyn William( James) of Cleveland, TN.,
Sherry(Linda)Jackson of Cleveland, TN. Two brothers, Thomas(Roberta) Jackson of Etowah, TN., Alvin(Zandra) Jackson of Cleveland, TN. Three grandchildren, Madisyn Frazier, Jackson Frazier, and Tiara Frazier. A host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A special cousin Kenneth(Lorraine) Jackson and his David’s good friend Andy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home- Athens, Tn., with Rev. Leuty McDermott officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Internment will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Etowah, TN.
