Daisy L. McCleary age 69 of Athens, TN., passed Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She attended St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church in Athens, TN, and enjoyed music, pocketbooks, sunglasses, and shopping.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mary White and father Charles White., her husband Richard McCleary, and brother Charles Kelly White, sister-in-law Deloris Scruggs and nephew James Witt.
Survivors include her son, Timothy Charles White( finace’e Joyce Williams) of Athens, TN., devoted brother Willie Lee White of Athens, TN. Grandchildren, Evashta White, Tyler Cobb, Keeaira Poteet, Shyla Poteet, several great-grandchildren. Nieces, Paula White of Athens, TN., and Charlene Harbour of Flossmoor, Il., Mary Bradley of Athens, TN.Nephews, Charles Bradley, and Er Bradley of Athens, TN., cousin Maxine Weston of Athens, TN., sister-in-law Reatha White of Old Hickory, TN. Close friend Charlesetta McDermott and Pat Conner. Many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home- Athens, TN., with Rev. Vant Hardaway officiating. The will be a walk through visitation by friends one hour before the service at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In compliance with COVID-19 everyone is ask to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
