Clarence Allen Dunn was born May 10, 1956, to the late Melvin M. Dunn Sr. and Jean E. (Goode) Dunn.  Allen accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. He was baptized at Mount Eagle Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. G.D. Brantley. He attended High Point Elementary School and Charleston High School. Allen played football and basketball for the Charleston Panthers at Charleston High School. After high school Allen join the United States Army for 4 years and was honorably discharged. Allen retired as a former computer technician for the State of Tennessee.

Allen loved his family and friends, but most of all he loved his pet dog Jazzy.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Melvin and Jean(Goode), paternal grandparents, Tom and ThursiaDunn, maternal grandparents, James Edward and Mary Lou Goode, and brother Melvin M. Dunn Jr.

Allen leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Beverly Dunn, a son Christopher Rutledge, step-son Nehemiah(Tiffany) Johnson, step-daughter Jessia Austin of Nashville, TN, eight grandchildren, two brothers, Louise(Lesia) Dunn of Charleston, TN, and Cory Dunn of Valdosta, GA, two sisters, Glynis (John) Gordon of Dallas, GA., and Annette(Demetrius) Jarrett of Cleveland, TN, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 2:00 at Mt. Eagle Baptist Church with minister Lesia Dunn officiating, the family will receive friends one hour before the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Charleston Community Cemetery. .
