Charlotte F. Mayotte

Charlotte Faye Mayotte was born August 7, 1936 in Philadelphia, TN. She was the only child to the late William Bacome and Margaret Bradford. She transitioned on Sunday morning August 24, 2022 at her home in Philadelphia, Tennessee surrounded by her family. She was a member of First Church United in Sweetwater, TN She was a devoted mother, grandmother, loved by many in the community. She was a graduated from High Point and attended Knoxville College. She was employed for over twenty years as the farmer manager for Kilpatrick Farm in Sweetwater, TN.,  and also previously worked in Oak Ridge TN at Y-12 and K-25.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Walter James Mayotte, Step-son, James Walter Mayotte, and Step-son-in-law, James Ragland.

She leaves to cherish many memories of love and family togetherness, devoted sons Gene Austin McKissic , Frank Maurice McKissic both of Philadelphia, TN, and daughter Michelle (John) Thomas of Sweetwater, TN. Step-daughter, Maxine Ragland of Raleigh, NC, Step-son, Ray (Gloria) Mayotte of Raleigh, NC., and Jackie (Polly) Mayotte of Sweetwater, TN. Four grandchildren, Jordan Torell McGaughey, Tiana Lichelle McGaughey, Jalen Blake Thomas, Shaun Mayotte (Sha’Kendre), Brently Mayotte (Ginger), Maurice Ragland (Erica), Pamela Mayotte, Keith Ragland(Marisol), Ray Mayotte Jr., Geneice Phifer(Tre), Alana Thomas. Special family, Bianca Huskey, Betty Wilkerson, Edna Harrison, Craig Harsh, and Benjamin Myers.

Home going celebration service will be held Sunday, August 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m at First Church United of Christ with Rev.Vant Hardaway officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.,m, Interment will follow the service at Sweetwater Memorial Gardens.
