Charlotte "Anne" Brown age 75 departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her residence in Knoxville, TN.
She was a strong, kind hearted, loving woman that surrounded herself with great family and friends that she took so much pride in caring for and helping anytime that she was able to. She was a long timehousekeeper at Ft. Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville for 27 years where she made lots of friends, helped numerous families during their times of need, and worked countless hours to help keep the hospital clean. She took pride in her work and enjoyed meeting new people and hearing their life stories as well as sharing her own with them.
Anne was known for her compassion and unconditional love. Her ability to comfort and show empathy toward others was an amazing thing to witness. She never knew a stranger and would make lifelong friends with the most wonderful people from all over the world. People were drawn to her free spirit and fun loving soul. She had her own quirky sense of humor and absolutely loved traveling, music of all genres, and scary movies. She stayed on the go traveling with friends to lots of fun and interesting places. She loved concerts, live bands, music, and dancing. She enjoyed shopping, but not for herself, always for others finding bargains and deals on things that others wanted or needed. She was fierce and would stand up for the rights of others without hesitation. She was protective of those she loved and you never had a doubt about that. She believed in everything good and believed in love for everybody. Her fight for what is right was strong and never ending. Her belief was "In a world where you can be anything, be kind" and that is what she lived by.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" Murr and Orphia Clark Murr of Athens, TN.
She leaves behind to continue building and living her legacy, one daughter, Jean Brown-Jones (Amos Jones) of Clarksville, TN, two granddaughters, Cierra Thompson and Shae Wilkerson both of Clarksville, TN, and one grandson, Shawn Bassett of Knoxville, TN. She also leaves behind a host of close family and very dear friends that will miss her immensely.
