Charity King

Charity Elizabeth King, 54, a resident of Long Beach, CA, entered her forever home on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022. She now resides with her heavenly father. She graduated from Bradley High School, Cleveland, TN. Shortly after graduation, Charity relocated to California. She worked as a health care administrator for 31 years before becoming a contractor for the Social Security Administration for the last 3 years.

Charity loved to travel and spend time visiting family. She was extremely giving, loving, and passionate about her family. Charity always gave her best and remained optimistic about everything. She was a great co-worker and friend to all.

Charity is proceeded in death by her parents Ada Mae King and Herbert King, her sisters, Deborah Mack and Audrey Conner, brothers, Todd King, Phillip Tracy King, Christopher Rucker, Chadwick Moore- King and grandparents, Arlin and Saurilla Moore, and  George and Gertrude King.

Her survivors include her son, Nathaniel Eugene King,  sisters, Aundria Moore-King of Decatur, TN, Christine Watson of Riceville, TN., Dardrekia King and Beverly Edmond both of Chattanooga, TN., Victoria King of Long Beach, Calif., brothers, Craig King and Herbert King in Cleveland, TN., and Mark King of Los Angeles, special nephew, Lofemoia ( Jessica) Bowerman of Cleveland, TN., a host of nieces and nephews, several devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home with pastor Martha Tibbs officiating. In compliance with COVID-19 there will be a walk-through visitation from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mask are required. Interment will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery in Decatur, TN.
