God said: I know the plans and thoughts I think towards you Catisha. Thoughts of peace and not evil to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

One sunny day, a bundle of joy, Catisha Eileen Smith, was born August 14, 1973 in Athens, Tennessee. at Epperson Hospital to Mary K. and Vergil J. Smith.

Catisha attended and graduated from McKinley High School 1991 in Niles, Ohio. Catisha later attended University of Phoenix where she received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Business Administration. Catisha worked in insurance for over 20 years with, Nationwide, GMS, and lastly Principal Insurance until her illness. Catisha was an extraordinary example and mentor to young women in ministry. She was the constant professional, while also being the greatest example of living life to the fullest.

Two precious names her mom gave her was “Tiko” because she was on the go all the time, and “Shirley” from Laverne and Shirley because she was short and sassy. Angelia was Laverne. Tish loved shopping for shoes and purses! She also loved fishing, Christmas, decorating, baking cookies, and Cross Fit.

Catisha Smith married Jomo Shaw and to that union Royale Demi Shaw was born. As life and time happens, she was introduced to Joseph J. Jackson and they were wed January 1, 2008.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories; her husband Pastor Joseph J. Jackson of Cleveland, Ohio; her daughter Royale (Antonio) McCray (Ooltewah, TN); her mother Mary K.
