Celebration of Life for Catherine Orine Ball

The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day. Orine is at peace now resting in the Masters loving hands and embraced in His mercy and glory forever.

Catherine Orine (Moore) Ball, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away on January 1, 2024 suddenly. Orine as she was generally known was born on August 26, 1948 to John Pryor (JP) and Catherine Moore in Bradley County, Tennessee.

She was educated at Norman Chapel Grade School and attended College Hill High School. She worked in the manufacturing industry and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Orine was preceded in death by her spouse Hardy Ball of Kentucky, parents John Pryor (JP) and Catherine Moore, siblings Joyce Moore, John Pryor Moore Jr, Lewis Moore, and Willie Sue Bradford, daughter Angela Westfield, son Anderson (Flipper) Westfield Jr. all of Cleveland and a host of other Aunts and Uncles.

She is survived by daughters Arlean (Ray) Hammonds C, TN, Markai Smith of Hixon, TN, Cirita (Michelle Dill) Smith, sister Naomi Bobbie Moore. Seven grandchildren Jona (Michael) Cox of Chattanooga, Chevonne (Anthony) Williams of Massachusetts, Jolissa (Mark) Vialva of Virginia, Anderson A (Carolyn) Westfield III of California, R.J and Rayden Hammond, of Charleston, TN, and Hannah Smith of Hixon, TN, special friend Peggy Goodine and host of other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024  at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home – Cleveland, TN with Rev. J.D. Bruce officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN.
