Carolyn Melinda Hembree

Carolyn Melinda ‘Linda’ Young Hembree age 51 of Bradley County, Tn. passed Saturday evening in a Chattanooga hospital after a lengthy illness.
She had a kind, compassion heart, and would take anyone in that needed a home. She was a certified CNA and was especially known for her outstanding ability to cook which she did for many years in local restaurants.
Carolyn was a competitor, who could have been a professional arm wrestler, she enjoyed fishing, but most importantly her heart was love-centered toward her children, grandchildren and the Hembree family. She is preceded in death by her father Milton Young, and brother Charles Watson.

Survivors include, four children Angela Hembree, James Luther ‘Sonny’(Tanya) Hembree II, Bradley Green, and Tonia Hembree (Charles Tolan) all of Cleveland, TN. Six grandchildren, mother, Hester Lee Young of Cleveland, TN., one sister, Brenda Maddux, three brothers, Jimmy Nicholson, Larry Watson, and Jerry Watson all of Cleveland, TN. Special nephew Charles Jordan of Cleveland, TN. One aunt Edna Eaves of Cleveland, TN. Best friend since childhood, Angie Cartwright Massey of Athens, TN., and lifelong friend James Hembree Sr. of Cleveland, TN. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services and family visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Kelley and Rev. Jimmy Ledford officiating, with funeral services at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be Wednesday at 2:00 at Hembree Family Cemetery in Isabella, Tn.
